Lily String Quartet is a dynamic chamber ensemble dedicated to excellence. This Canadian quartet was formed in 2005, and is quickly being recognized by audiences and critics alike as an up-and-coming ensemble of the 21st century. In 2007/08, Lily String Quartet performed in concert series for New Works Calgary, High Performance Rodeo, The Banff Centre, Lake Louise Ice Magic Festival and the Instrumental Society of Calgary. Recently, Lily String Quartet was featured on CBC Radio with singer, Lullaby Baxter in the musical Garden Cities of Tomorrow. This quartet's 2008/09 season will include tours through Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan, an octet concert with Bell'arte String Quartet and two collaborative CD projects. Lily String Quartet embodies many of the characteristics of its namesake, Lily Boulanger: elegance, beauty, tenacity, and imagination.
